As a 34-year veteran of the NC Insurance Industry, Don has worked on the company and agency sides of the insurance business. In 1984, Don became a Nationwide Insurance Company business agent, focusing on business, group health, and life insurance policies. During his five years with Nationwide, Don was recognized by the company with both Pace Setter and Challenger Awards, as well as his achievements in life insurance production.
In 1989, Don left Nationwide to become an area sales manager with Crum and Forrester Personal Insurance. During a three-year stint with Crum and Forrester, Don was recognized as the 1990 Regional Area Sales Manager of the Year. Then in 1992, Don left to become an independent insurance agent working in the Durham area.
In November 2001, Don opened McClintock Insurance Agency. Since its inception, McClintock Insurance has continued to enhance its position in the Durham and Greensboro insurance communities through growth, public service, and advertising. The agency’s focus is to continue growing by providing “Superior Service as a Standard.”
