Commercial Casualty Insurance provides protection against damage, property, and other liability. Casualty insurance can also be combined with property insurance, commonly called “property and casualty” insurance.
Commercial Casualty Insurance is provided as an umbrella coverage with an elastic term. This business insurance can protect both the business and the business owner from negligent acts and omissions. This type of insurance may include the following coverages:

Catastrophic lawsuits, mounting legal expenses, court awards, and out-of-court settlements can be staggering to say the least. And these costs may threaten your business or even close the doors forever. In many cases, your general business insurance policies may not provide enough coverage, or the limits may not be high enough. We can help extend your level of business protection beyond the limits of your general policies, such as commercial general liability; employment practices; employers liability; professional liability; pollution; and commercial auto, watercraft, and aircraft insurance.
Excess Liability Insurance provides insurance coverage when an underlying liability policy has reached its limits. For example, if you are found liable for damages beyond the limits of your general business insurance coverage, then you can invoke your Excess Liability Insurance policy to cover the difference. However, there is one catch. Your Excess Liability Insurance can only be used toward a single insurance policy, not every policy your business holds. So this coverage is helpful if you have only one policy, or if you want to maximize your coverage in a specific area.

A Commercial Umbrella Insurance policy works the same as an Excess Insurance policy for your business. In addition, though, an Umbrella Insurance policy can be applied to multiple underlying liability policies and even includes coverage for claims not included in the underlying policies (with the use of a self-insured retention, SIR). A SIR is the amount of money you pledge to pay before business insurance funds kick in to cover your loss, similar to a deductible.
Commercial Umbrella Insurance is helpful when additional coverage is useful for many policies.

Your business may be required by law to carry Workers’ Compensation Insurance, also referred to as Workman’s Compensation. Your McClintock Insurance agent can help ensure that your business is in compliance with both federal and state regulations.
Simply put, Workers’ Compensation provides wage replacement and medical benefits to your employees who may be injured, become sick or contract an illness related to their work. Coverage includes any hospital, medical, diagnosis, and treatment expenses. In addition, such employees can receive disability payments (portion of regular salary) until they are able to return to work. Rehabilitation and retraining may also be included in the benefits.
Workers’ Compensation coverage is carried by the employer and offered to the employee in exchange for required relinquishment of the right to sue your business for negligence.
